I’m writing in response to your advert on the e-China cities website and would like to apply for the position
of English teacher at the Kindergarten. I’m applying for the position because I love kids as well as
languages and would enjoy empowering kids with the English Language. I think I’d be great for this
position because of my willingness to learn and my dedication to great education.
For the past 3 years I have been tutoring English to a few Russian and Chinese kids privately and have
gotten great results. I love teaching privately but I want to start teaching groups and earning a more stable
and substantial salary. I’m currently enrolled as a postgraduate student doing my honors in Linguistics
(English and German) and Teaching Methods which is focused on teaching to kids aged 3-17, correct
lesson planning to each age group is covered extensively. As an undergraduate student I completed my
Bachelors Degree in Chinese Language and Literature and I have been freelancing as a translator and
interpreter. I feel that I would be a great addition to your team because apart from the fact that I love kids I
also speak fluent Chinese which I feel would greatly enhance the learning experience for your students.
